Our first stop on this trip is the village of Fodele, the birthplace of the famous El Greco. After a nice walk through the colourful
village we continue driving east, along the North Coast, enjoying the lovely view of the dark blue waters of the Cretan Sea.
Our next stop is the Bay of Mirabello and the charming little city of Agios Nikolaos. The beautiful bay, the lively streets and
especially the unique fresh-water lake in the center of the town make Agios Nikolaos, one of the loveliest cities on our island.
You have free time for a little shopping or a nice walk around the picturesque lake.
At the port of Agios Nikolaos we take the ship and sail to the island of Spinalonga. The pleasant boat-trip lasts approximately
one hour. On the way to our main destination the ship will stop for a while, and you will have a very nice opportunity for an
enjoyable swim in the crystal clear blue waters.
The highlight of the trip is the island of Spinalonga and its imposing fortress, nowadays worldwide well-known as the last
European leper-colony. It follows a guided tour between the remains of the old, historical buildings.
After an interesting journey through a very, very sad part of the Cretan history, full of moved impressions we take our ship

On the way back to Rethymno we have the possibility to stop above the village of Agia Pelagia, for a short
